first veggies of the season

I am not sure how well this works, but I love the idea (thanks joshua for the link!) I especially like the idea in the write-up of a device that scorches the paint off of the cars parked in the bike lane. Can it also incinerate yard waste that people love to leave in the lane too, like tree branches.
having spent a massive amount of time reading and writing about what to wear in the corporate work world in the context of thesis, i found this column especially interesting. what to wear to get canned … its written in a lighter tone that reflects more the state of the economy that being let go as a result of disciplinary action. anyway, for those of you who know what my thesis topic was, its a humorous take.
well here i go. i am starting a new semester at csu sacramento today. i am teaching production and design managment. for the next 15 or so weeks i will re-immerse myself in the world of paper, ink and printing presses. i am hoping to add a presentation on the impact of the print on the environment and current trends and technology to lessen the footprint. we’ll see what i have time for, but that is my optimistic outlook. otherwise, my pseudo-clients for the semester are:
sacramento bicycle coalition
marin trail preservation
circadian tea compant
two non-profit and a beverage product. i hope the class finds them interesting enough to inspire good work. i think they have potential …
so here we go.
i am a fan of david lynch on facebook now. i think the facebook fans situation is quite interesting. from hot sauce to celebrities, what an interesting phenomenon to show what you are into. anyway. got this image from the lynch album and altered it a bit, as i saw fit.

convert our arcane weight measurement system to tangible objects! woo hoo for metaphor and visualization. i weigh as much as 12 housecats. meow. 36 average physics textbooks
(why physics? why not geography?) 3.3 microwaves. this one is a stretch
for me because there are so many shapes and sizes. anyway …
now, how to make it a diagram … i digress.
i found my tshirt that i designed for michele’s project for symposium, so i thought i would post it. heh heh.
